This attraction oozes friendly professionalism. The ticket booth on the ground floor is efficient and welcoming. Visitors with Singapore Airlines boarding pass stubs get 20% discount. Visitors are then guided upstairs past a display describing the attraction's design and construction and then past a photo point where your picture is taken for free and you can choose whether or not to buy copies after the ride. No pressure. Soon you're guided down a ramp to enter a capsule. There's a central bench that seats about 8-10 people comfortably and still leave plenty of room to walk around taking pictures without blocking other people's views.

The views are pretty spectacular. It's best to go first thing in the morning - generally clearer skies and fewer people. The capsules are air-conditioned. Fairly easy to get good photographs although at some points reflections are unavoidable.

On exit you are guided towards a gift shop where you can look at and buy your photograph if you want, or you can spend as much or as little time inspecting a wide range of souvenirs that don't seem too overpriced compared to similar items downtown.

The whole facility is scrupulously clean and well sign-posted, air-conditioned toilets are within easy reach.

… Boarding the all-glass capsule that slowly ascends from ground level to an altitude of nearly 200 metres to afford 360-degree views of Singapore and even into the distance parts of Malaysia and Indonesia.… the Flyer also offers a Champagne Flight with Moët and Chandon champagne and a plate of strawberries and chocolate – really romantic.

After a trip on the Flyer, you can try flying a Jumbo Jet in the flight simulator which can be found in the Flyer complex. It is an exhilarating experience and any budding pilot can choose from over 2000 airports and a myriad of flight destinations. Great fun!

We booked the Singapore Sling package online before arriving in Singapore. There was a promotion on at the time so the tickets cost approx S$55 each. We had the cabin to ourselves and the cocktail made it a very nice way to see the Singapore skyline. Definitely worth it.
