I did a 24-hour Singapore Stopover on my way through and had to visit the new Singapore Flyer, the world's biggest ferris wheel - sorry, "moving observation platform". I'd been on some big ferris wheels before and was pleased to see this one had very large and stable observation cabins. They easily fit a couple of dozen people, but while we were there, just 8 or so. the Flyer revolves very slowly so that you hardly feel you are moving. The views are spectacular, across the whole of Singapore city and the impressive port (container ships everywhere). We got a great view of some of the new architectural art being built in the city - the durian-inspired buildings, the Marina Mandarin which sports what looks like a giant ark atop three towers, a helix bridge said to be the world's first curved bridge; and a still-under-construction events centre featuring outstanding curved glass domes.
The Flyer was a great novelty on the upward flight, but the downward part went a little slowly for my 9-year-old son. I was in no rush, and I appreciated the air-conditioning.
The Singapore Flyer does sightseeing during the day and dining platforms in the evenings. Worth a visit even if you're on a short stopover.

Thank you and your team for a job well done!
It has been a wonderful and awesome experience for the birthday gals. Your staff have been most accommodating and patient with our requests. No words could describe how grateful I am for the set-up. And this experience and memories will stay with us for a very long time.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Kudos to your team!

I cannot recommend highly enough a visit to Singapore Flyer. My husband and I booked a Champagne Flight which came with a glass of champagne each, some chocolate-dipped strawberries and some gorgeous chocolates. It was great! The capsule rotates very, very slowly, and you get to enjoy the wonderful experience.

My niece and I took Singapore Flyer on a showery day, but it was still an amazing experience. We'd opted for the cocktail experience, and it was everything we'd expected and more. We were looked after and pampered as if they'd never had a VIP before. We made an effort and dressed up and we weren't disappointed. From the gracious greeting to the comfort of the VIP lounge, the private capsule and the delicious cocktail, everything was perfect. There was even a little dish of nuts, and a cocktail table inside the capsule. We were also presented with souvenir boxed glasses to take home. And the views - we couldn't believe how far we could see, even on a dull day. The Singapore Straits, all the ships in the anchorage - we could almost see where we were staying on Orchard Road! A fantastic experience!

I would like to thank Joseph Ravindran Christie of Flyer’s Guest Services for making our trip to Singapore Flyer a very special one. Three couples went to the Flyer to renew our wedding vows, celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. Joseph was kind and very accommodating to our requests. The morning spent at the Flyer was most enjoyable!

Purchased the extra Singapore Sling and booked a late night (about 9.30pm) trip on my honeymoon. Timing was perfect as we got a capsule to ourselves with drinks and all. Amazing trip with music and drink, would definitely recommend.
