Singapore Flyer Flight Operations Temporarily Unavailable

Business as usual for shops and restaurants at Singapore Flyer, offering a wide range of services and promotions.
Dear Valued Guests,

We wish to inform you that flight operations at Singapore Flyer are temporarily unavailable but its shops and restaurants remain open, offering a wide range of services and promotions.

An investigation and thorough checks are currently being conducted. During this period before wheel operations resume, the Singapore Flyer team will work closely with the wheel contractor, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, a panel of international experts and relevant parties to review and enhance the comfort and safety of flights for all our passengers.

The Singapore Flyer team expects to obtain a full incident report within the next two weeks, after which we hope to be able to meet with the relevant authorities and provide an update on the re-opening of flight operations.

All valid ticket-holders can re-schedule their tickets within 3 months from the re-opening date of flight operations. Existing friends of Singapore Flyer members will have their membership extended by 3 months from the date of expiry.

We are taking immediate steps to ensure that even more stringent systems are in place – the most important being an even greater ability to continue to rotate the wheel at all times via additional independent back-up mechanisms. This will be on top of the standby generator which we currently have. The Singapore Flyer team will only apply for flight operations to be resumed once the team, the experts and the authorities are entirely satisfied with the results.

Meanwhile, outlets at the Singapore Flyer Retail Terminal will continue offering a wide range of services and promotions with its variety of retail shops and restaurants offering unique cuisine choices.

We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience caused to customers who have made bookings during this period.

Kindly visit our website www.singaporeflyer.com for updates.
